Will Burma...Myanmar ever be a free country?

hey guys i have done some research but i cannot find clear answeres. If you have read my profile you will see that i am half Burmese and i really want to visit the country that my dad and i come from...unfortunatly it is dangerouse right now...will this ever change...will the government change? please can you tell me some facts about burma...overall some parts are beuatifull but is the government the main problem?Thanks :D
